Beatrice May is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with extensive training in mental health and chemical dependency with over ten years of clinical experience. She is licensed in Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Texas Arlington before earning her Master Nursing/Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner degree from Walden University. Nurse May provides medication management and counseling for psychiatric conditions, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, OCD, Postpartum Depression, as well as many other diagnoses. Throughout her many years in both inpatient and outpatient services, client safety has been her priority. Nurse May applies evidence-based practices that are based on current research to promote optimum outcomes and patient safety. As a provider of individualized treatment plans, she listens carefully to each patient, treating her clients with compassion, empathy, and dignity. Her holistic and empathetic approach makes her a uniquely gifted practitioner of nursing care. Throughout her career she has consistently delivered the highest level of compassionate, patient-centered care for improving mental health outcomes and program compliance among diverse patients of many different cultures and backgrounds.
She is a member of ANA, APNA, and Sigma Theta Tau Society. Her passions are mental health awareness advocacy and fostering the connections that strengthen community involvement. Her hobbies include Zumba, yoga, and hiking.
